Our talented team, backed by the dedicated efforts of our cloud partners, have successfully launched a “Free Game Pilot”, built exclusively for Samsung Gaming Hub users in the US.
This pilot, which began on November 8, 2023, includes for Samsung Gaming Hub a first-of-its-kind UX allowing free access to a selection of premium video games streamable directly to SmartTVs without the need for a subscription or account. This will be the first time free and fully unlimited access to premium cloud video games at this scale will be available to SmartTV users.
The initiative required extraordinary coordination between Blacknut’s team and cloud partners Radian Arc and Tencent Cloud to reinforce Blacknut’s unique hybrid public-private infrastructure through the deployment of additional cloud support. The reinforced cloud support was successfully co-launched in under two months for the pilot, a testament to Blacknut’s capability to provide the best answer for a seamless user experience in a timely manner.
The “Free Game Pilot’ will have two seasons; Season1 will offer unlimited playtime to the selected games and will be live for 3 months. It will be followed by a Season2, wherein playtime will be limited to 30 minutes per game, before encouraging players to continue playing by subscribing to Blacknut.
